Also welcome to ABwonderdive The European Dive Centre, placed in the "Largest concentration of marine life in the world with 1736 species", declared on the 7th of Nov. 2006.
On the 7th of November 2006 the president of the Philippines declared the Verde Island passage a marine projected area. The Verde Island passage from Batangas in the north, to Sabang in the south, from Maricaban Island in the west to Verde Island incl in the East. The area has the highest amount of marine spices in the world 1.736 overlapping spices , in an area of 10 x 10km2.
It is the most important area in Asia and the world, therefore it is now deklaret to be Marine protected area.
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo declared today, 7th of Nov. 2006, the Verde Island Passage Marine Corridor located between Batangas and Mindoro Island as a marine sanctuary and national protected area.

We have had 2 x underwater photographs visiting us in March ‘07 Lene and Claus Topp from Denmark who are working for WWF in ASIA. They have been here to rediscover the beauty of the underwater world by us and the Verde Island channel. They have also been here because of the announcement from the president regarding the area. Yes! we have mandarin fish on our house reef. It is so cool. You just go out with our boat by dusk at 5:30pm /17:30 and dive down to the reef. There, the mandarin fish are making a dance performance for you.
